Peerless Pirates In “Battle Of The Bands”

Pirate head office can report that Peerless Pirates have been selected to take part in The Marlow Regatta “Battle Of The Bands” on the evening of Friday 10th June 2011.

There are 4 bands taking part and the gig will be broadcast live on Marlow FM 97.5.

Question. What could be better than a shimmy to The Pirates in a Marquee down by the river?

Answer? – Not a lot. Therefore it would be rather swell if you could come along and lend your support. A pirate mob could go a long way.

Entrance is £7.00 but hopefully well worth it.

Pirate News…

Ahoy there mateys,

The Pirates haven’t been resting on their fat behinds over the past few weeks, oh no – there has been an intense round of rehearsals and gig chasing which has seen the following dates lined up (further details on the website “live” page):

Sunday 8th May – “A Busker’s Paradise” – All Dayer Festival at The Antelope Bar in High Wycombe. Pirates on stage 6pm. We only get 20 mins but it’ll be 20mins of mayhem we’re sure. Should be a good day. Beer & BBQ all day and 20 bands for your pleasure…

Thursday 19th May – The Wilmington Arms, Clerkenwell, London. Pirates on stage around 9pm. This is a charity event to raise awareness for the Stephen Murray fund (check out www.staystrong.co.uk) and to support Chico Hooke in his cycle ride from Lands End to John O’ Groats in support of the cause.

This gig should be a stormer so come on down if you can make it..

Wednesday 22nd June – The Wheatsheaf, Oxford. More details nearer the time but The Pirates will be appearing in what will be their first “hometown” gig. Check out www.thishaslegs.com for more info.

As for new songs, there are more in the pipeline in various stages of construction. In fact, The Pirates have added an extra new song to the set which has not yet been released in demo form…

..that’s just how wild and unpredictable they’ve become….

More news as it happens darlings…
