All Things Pirate….and chicken

It’s been a fair while since The Pirates last dropped by here with any news but that doesn’t mean the band have been resting on their sorry behinds, oh no. There have been gigs a plenty…

First up was a gig at The Good Ship in Kilburn, London where the band supported The Lyeburns along with Wet Mouth. Much fun was had by all but The Pirates foolishly decided to eat Nandos dry of chicken before they went on making their performance interesting. There is a certain difficulty in moving when one is quite so inflated.

Next up was a headline at The Bullingdon Arms in Oxford on a wet Wednesday in September and The Pirates put on a typically energetic display – waiting until after the event before deciding to consume any chicken for obvious reasons.

Last week saw The Pirates return to The Good Ship as headline choosing a rather more sedate chicken platter as their pre-match build up and the band were pleased that it seemed to show in their performance.

There are now a flurry of forthcoming events before the end of the year. The band will be headlining again at The Bullingdon Arms in Oxford on 3rd November followed by a headline at The Workshop, 243 Old Street in London 2 days later on Bonfire Night!. There then follows a gig at Café 1001 in Brick Lane, London on Tuesday 15th November.

There will be a live radio session for Recharged Radio on Friday 2nd December before the last gig before Christmas on Thursday 8th December at The Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden, London.

All of these shows and further details can be found on the LIVE page…and who knows if they’ll involve any chicken…

Until next time you scurvy crew..
